My work explores memory, cultural inheritance, and the quiet strength that survives across generations. Growing up, I learned that light was never just for seeing. It was for remembering. That understanding became the foundation of my practice. Whether I am painting a weathered face or a drummer's hand, I ask the same question: What do we carry forward, and how does it shape who we become? I build my canvases layer upon layer, scraping back and rebuilding to mirror how memory works. Nothing is ever fully erased. Darkness in my work is not hopeless. It is a place of reflection, where stories are told and truth is found in silence. Through rich earth tones and sculptural brushwork, I invite viewers to see the stories that connect us all.
